The shield is divided into quarters representing England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, adorned with a ribbon featuring the text “Dieu et mon droit” (God and my right) and “Honi soit qui mal y pense” (Shame on him who thinks evil of it). The central shield is supported by a lion and a unicorn, while a crown sits above it. The obverse of the coin features a portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings, this first time His Majesty has appeared on this series.
