This is the first UK coin to feature The Tailor of Gloucester and is part of the third series of Beatrix Potter 50ps; the 2016 and 2017 series proved to be extremely popular with coin collectors. Designed by Emma Noble.

The obverse of the coin features the fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which was designed by Jody Clark and first used in 2015. The portrait shows the Queen in her crown and gown, facing right.
