2015 Royal Birth Princess Charlotte Five Pound Crown Brilliant Uncirculated Coin In Folder

The Brilliant Uncirculated 2015 Birth of Princess Charlotte Five Pound Coin was released to celebrate the latest addition to the Royal Family. Princess Charlotte was born at Saint May’s Hospital, London on May 2nd, 2015 and is the second child born to Prince William and Princess Catherine. Her full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, which pays homage to her grandfather, her great grandmother and her mother. John Bergdahl is responsible for the traditional engraving on the reverse, which is a similar design to the crown coin issued for the christening of Prince George in 2013. Bergdahl’s illustration complements the obverse design, which features the fifth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as designed by Jody Clark. Followers of Royal Mint coinage will spot the word ‘five’ has been replaced by the number ‘5’ in the legend, which was unusual on UK coins at the time. Your £5 coin will be encased in a protective capsule, which in turn will be attached to an attractive Royal Mint presentation folder. The cupro-nickel coin weighs 28.28 grams and measures 38.61 millimetres in diameter. It’s struck twice during production, which stands apart from normal coinage which is only struck once. A wonderful memento for any enthusiast of the British Royal Family.
