The 1989 UK Royal Mint Brilliant Uncirculated Pair of £2 Coins Celebrating The Bill & Claim of Rights
he 300th anniversary of one of the most significant episodes in British history has been marked by the issue of a special commemorative £2 Coins in this Royal mint Pack. Two versions of the coin have been struck, one with a reverse design honouring the tercentenary of Bill of Rights, and the other, the tercentenary of the Claim of Right in Scotland. Both were designed by John Lobban, and depicts the cypher of William and Mary, the House of Commons mace, and stylised representations of St Edward’s Crown and the Crown of Scotland, respectively. The obverse, common to both coins, features Raphael Maklouf’s portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the denominational value below.
